We dont see them to often, my tolerance is low - the "Dad" 70 ?? and the kids mom 50, 3 adult kids 19-21 live at home w/ them including the daughters kids who are 5 and 7 ,diff fathers just like mom, 19 yr old boy who just got "married" and lives in 5th wheel out back kid got a dirt bike, these kid's aren't terribly intelligent and very spoiled, riding dirt bike w/o helmet, and they all go out on the new boat today (8 of them I think), not ONE life jacket is on and of course all looking at their \cell phones - my question - should I send them a msg on FB? My gf says no - but I can already see the headlines of drownings/boat crash at local lake...the dad drinks too, hell last time I saw him he couldnt even explain what he was looking at on his cell, FB mkt place....and of course the "adult" kids all have cars he bought them.
I'd rather be called an A hole for "getting in their business" and hear about these kids graduating from any school and doing ONE thing in their lives that resembled decency,

Thoughts???? I just hate stupid and dangerous

They would't listen anyway and just think you are butting in. Some kids just don't have a prayer from day 1 and there's not much that can be done about it. If life jackets were mandatory there you could call the local authorities.....

The world is full of stupid people. Sadly all we can do is shake our head and pray.

You can’t fix or change stupid. Sounds like the whole family has the “stupid” dna. Telling them anything may just make them angry. I’d ignore them and distance myself from them as much as possible.

It's not their fault that they are stupid. Stupidity is in their gene pool. Their parents passed it on. Sometimes it skips a generation and often skips a sibling. A person with a semblance of intelligence that does stupid things is ïgnorant." Now you may say there isn't an iota of intelligence amongst the parents but someone must be making the Samolians to pay for all the stuff they have.

It is prudent these days to just mind our own P's and Q's. (Mom always said that and I have no idea what it means, anyone?) All they will do is tell you to go pound salt and continue to do stupid things. I feel for the kids under 16, they have no choice as to how and where they live. Hopefully they survive to make it onto the Dr. Phil Show in one piece.

yup just plain stupid, one of their friends said to wear a helmet on motor cycle, mom's response "oh its just a dirt bike and a test ride" on asphalt, a DUMB ass inexperienced 19 yr old riding it.....yup their stepdad who actually makes the money.....they could f+++ up a two car funeral - which will probably be happening soon, then all the boohoos.....

Mine as well. That's where I got it. Actually i'd forgotten where I got it. I guess I changed the wording a bit over the last 50 or 60 years. It applies so often.

All one can do is notify Child Protective Services or a similar agency where you live. It's the children I am concerned with.

No comment....lol
I've done everything mentioned above and a whole lot more (hold my beer) in my life time and lived to tell the tale.

I was brought up to mind my own business and not judge the lives and actions of other people.

Both have served me well

Good advise, Dingbat! If we would all learn to take responsibility for our own actions and let others live how they see fit, being ready to offer advise when THEY ASK FOR IT, we would all get along better and be better for it. Too many people want to tell everyone else how to live, but unless I am walking in their shoes, I don't know what I am talking about. I won't tell you what to do, but if it were me I would pop some popcorn and watch the show.
