10. I can NOT stress this enough! NEVER set the low speed needles less that 3/4 turns out no matter how poor the idle or acceleration. To do so will run the engine too lean and detonation and melted pistons at or near full throttle operation will result.

Is that 3/4 turn out from seated- no matter what, or 3/4 of a turn out from when the engine is running ok with the needle set to the lowest setting ( engine farts and burps and stalls setting).

Thanks- I am setting the carbs now and test drive tomorrow.

I'd rather be rich than lean- I dont need a great hole shot yet, my kids are 7,5 and 2, so speeding isnt my concern- reliability is.

It is 3/4 turn out from seated. I normaly adjust to 1-1 1/8 out from seated.

That motor,when I went to school the factory guys say that 1 turn out and leave it there.I don't It usually ends up about 1 and 1/16-1/8 out.J
