Question about short block

I have a Mercruiser 120 short block listed on Ebay and people have been asking me if it's a 2.5l or 3.0l. Can someone please help me out?<br />Thanks!

if its a 120 i think (could be wrong) its a 2.5l as the omc was a 2.5l

120s were 2.5L. 140s were 3L.

Would this '85 short block be compatible with 120's of every year?<br />How about the bell housing, front mount, exhaust tubing, flywheel... I have more than that listed but it seems to be a popular question regarding all the parts.<br />Thanks again!

A Short Block Will interchange with All Years.............<br /><br />It's All the Stuff that bolts Too it that changed in 83/84...............
