Ok maybe this is in the wrong area if so I apologize. I just picked up a little jon boat with a 1999 mariner 2,5hp engine on it, I had to do a little work to get it started but nothing major. My dumb question is how do you shift it into neutral? I haven't figured this out yet and unfortunately it is to late for me to go test my theories. I have never used anything with this small of a motor before. I did try google but didnt find anything helpful. If it matters the throttle is on the motor itself, well it has a thumb lever added to the steering control. Anyway thanks for any help you can provide.
