Question about points 70 60hp johnson

So i installed a new amp and coil from CDI they redid how you hook it up so in the instructions they say to connect one wire to the points plate, and one to the points. so i checked the manual (SELCO) and i cannot find a refference for points plate? Im pretty sure the wire that hooks up the points is what i was supposed to conect that wire to but im confused as to what they refer to the points plate? attached is a picture.Im new to the boat stuff and don't want to blow this 300$ amp.

There talking about turn plate. The wire from points hooks to condenser and then to coil if thats what your asking?.

Well im not too sure i had a solid black wire they said to connect to the points plate, so i wasn't sure if it was the wire that was going to the power head as the ground? then i had a black and white wire that was supposed to connect to the points. Im not sure where the condenser is i cant find it in the manual for my engine tyoe 1970 johnson 60 hp. the picture i showed is how i have it hooked up the arrow on the right is the black/white wire the arrow on left is the solid black and thats suposed to goto the points plate.

Was just curious if by the trun plate or points plate they are refering to the base the points sit on? if so the the black wire would be a ground??? Anybody have any info on this?

There is no condenser in this system. The black/white wire goes to one side of the insulated side of the points with a jumper wire going to the other insulated point set. The black wire goes to the point base.

so the insulated side would that be the side with the rubber type gromets? and the point base is that the whole section that spins or is there an actual area for this wire the only wire i see besides the points wires are the ground wire from the base to the side of the powerhead as an ground.
