I have a 2001 Bayliner 2150 Capri - 305 Alpha I gen II - 14.5" 19p prop. I had my prop touched up/painted this winter and wanted to replace the hub kit as well.

I ordered 835257K1 which should be the correct application for my boat. It looks like this:

My old hub and most of the pictures I see online look like:

quicksilverhub_2.jpg

Did Mercruiser modify the hub kit for my drive? Is that the correct hub kit?

Thanks so much-
Peter

Thanks Bond-o.

I ordered a new one mainly to have the old as an on-board spare. I just wanted to make sure it was a part revision/difference and not the wrong kit.

Thanks for the quick reply.

FWIW, all black max props I have had, had the kit in pic #2. Pic #1 has a different sleave and nut locking mechanism. Maybe a new revision?

I believe that pic 1 is a Sierra brand (just looking at the lock) and pic 2 is the Merc product. I have had both and they function just the same. BUT the locks in pic 1 are just a tad harder to locate.
