Question about external tank storage.

Bought an external pressure tank that seems to be in very good shape. I don't have a 50s motor at moment and don't know when I will get another. Question is whats best way to store it to minimize rusting issues. Thanks for the help gents. Mettyfish

Pour some two stroke oil of your choice in there and swish it around, then put the cap on.

Clean it out thouroghly before you do this though so you can make sure there isn't any water whatsoever. Condensation is the biggest killer of external tanks.

Spray the exterior of the tank with some corrosion guard. It will protect it for years.

Above all, don't leave Any gas in it. That goes for the hose and primer pump too.
