Hey guys. I have 2 6 gallon tanks, and before I go out each time I shake the tanks around a bit to make sure my oil and gas stay mixed well. Not sure if this does anything or not. Here is my question. My buddy has a 26 gallon fixed tank on his pontoon and it is all pre-mix. He always pours oil in and then gas behind it. The boat has set around for a couple months, and now he wants to take it out. It being a fixed tank, there is not really an easy way to re-mix the gas and oil around. Do you think that the 40 mile drive to the lake will be enough to shake up the gas and help to remix it? Or should we not worry about it and let her fly?

That length of drive is more than enough to have the mixture as it should be. Don't be concerned about it.

Once it's mixed modern 2 stroke oil doesn't separate from gasoline.
