You turn the screws clockwise, or in to lean the mixture. this blocks off a fuel passage the farther you turn the screw in.<br /><br />From what I understand, the engine will run rich at idle, especially if just trolling at idle, thats why they tell you to check plugs for propper mixture after running around 3000RPM and shutting off right away. Your plugs will look a little fouled if only idleing.<br /><br />I dont do much trolling yet, but I think you will get some more pointers on different setups, such as those sacks that create drag so you can turn a little higher rpms when trolling, or those plates that diffuse the thrust from the prop so you can turn a litle higher RPMS
