1996 200 hp oceanpro manual says OEM 1996 service manual says use the 82 but the champion plug charts says the 78 what gives?? the 78 should be the hoyyer plug correct what should i use
You have it backwards. Champion plugs are hottoer the higher the number. The 82 is a hotter plug than the 78.<br />If I remember right the factory specs have been changed for most of those motors that called for the QL82YC.
Your motor likes Champions over the NGK<br />Chart calls for QL78YC gapped at 0.030"<br />I use em and recommend the same<br />NGK run a bit hotter and can be a problem
