Q Jet specs. help me find them.

Hi All,


The # on my q jet : 17057504

I cant find the specs for this carb on the paperwork that came for my rebuild kit.

This carb is off my Mercruiser 228 (1979) , but when I look up that serial # online it says its off of a 77 Corvette and I still cant find the float height and accel rod specs.

Any help is much appreciated

I think you may have a Carb for an auto and not marine..

Does it have Vacuum ports on it ?

Does it have a nipple on the top section at the back so the fuel overflow line from the fuel pump can connect to it ?

That carb number isn't shown on this page. And there is sometimes other numbers on the base like 1347-7361A1 this should be your number 17059292 R4/4MV for serial range 5069431-6021783

The other # below the 17057504 is

1447 AYO


If this is an auto carb from the PO , I assume I should trade it in for a proper marine one asap.
That said I would like to adjust it correctly and use it for one more weekend and would really appreciate help with the float height.

it does not have vacuum ports, and does have a single nipple on the back
