I'm having my carb rebuilt.

Do I have to buy a marine specific carb kit or will an automotive kit work?

Carb kits are ordered according to the casting number, there is no universal kit.

when you order the kit,order a new brass float and a new choke pull off . the foam floats soak up fuel and get heavy after a few years, the choke pull off which also dampens the secondary air valve, can spring a leak after a few years. you should replace these parts for a proper rebuild
