I have a older johnson and the pwr; trim,tilt elect; motor bit the dust. I won't be able to fix that until i pull the boat out of the water, naturally. I did however reach a screwdriver into the hole on the starboard side of the mtr; and release the manual lift on the unit. However while the motor was in the up position both the TRIM pistions raised all the way up and when i dropped the motor back down [mannualy] it stopped at the fully raised trim post and did not go down past that point,even with the manual screw released and the motor in foward gear. My question is this, how can i get those trim cylinders down manually????
