push-pull-rod ?

Hello , I have question on a Kawasaki 750 jetski. My wife and I are looking to buy 2 of these this weekend. The owner of them said 1 of them does not need any thing, but the 2nd one leaks water into hull thru the push-pull-rod. What is a push-pull-rod? Is it for steering? Thanks , Jim

not familiar with that term// could be trim rod,, however most leak at the drive shaft bearing and seal// plus check the hull in front of the intake grate for soggy fiberglass,, some get really weak and leak there,, it is not a simple fix for the average person to do if the hull is weak there I would not buy the ski.
