I first must TOTALLY apologize for my ignorance...As you can see, my 8 year old is not wearing a life jacket in the first 2 pix. It was before I was a boat owner (rented boat) and was not educated on boating regs/safety. It was a mistake made and will not be made again!<br /><br />Anyway, the first 2 pix are of her very first catch, on Memorial Day weekend on Lake Frances, Kansas. We've been fishing (feeding the little ones and getting snags) for the 2 years previous, so the girl has learned the first rule of fishing...patience! The first night we arrived at the lake, I took the rental out by myself and found a crappie hole. Man, were they biting! I was catching slabs on dry hooks! I just had to share this fun with my oldest daughter, Cassidy. I picked her up, and you can see what follows.<br /><br />As you can see by the pix, that weekend was well worth the wait.<br /><br />P.S. I put my first down payment on my first boat to a guy down the street the next day after we got home from camping. <br /><br />Totally re-hooked,<br />Your boating buddy Jeff<br />

Thanks, JB<br /><br />It truly was not only the start of a great day, but a wonderful pastime that I enjoyed with my Dad, that I now can pass on to my daughters, and their sons/daughters and so on...<br /><br />We've had our little 14' Alum V-hull out from the middle of August (when we got it) every weekend up until a few weeks ago!<br /><br />Loads of fish caught and even more lessons learned, just in the few short months We've had it!<br /><br />Can't wait till next year!

Thanks, everyone<br />She's my little drama queen! Does real good baiting her own, though...catches more fish than me, too...I'm too busy watching the herons, changing leaves, etc.
