Purchasing a Kawasaki extended warranty ?

Just purchased for myself a leftover 2004 STX-15F jet ski last week. The dealer offered me 3 additional years of extended warranty for around $850.00, which I declined.
I just saw on E-Bay a Kawasaki dealer offering 4 years of extended warranty for $450.00

Anybody have any thoughts regarding the wisdom of purchasing extended warranties ??

there are so many variations on those, they are service contracts and as a rule about 50 percent of the cost is dealer profit,In fla I know it's illegal to negotiate the cost for car ext warr and I think it may also be illegal on boat contracts as well, but In most states its legal to negotiate the price, I think you should be ok since most people just complain that the warranty did not cover what broke and on a pwc they always have a clause about water ingestion or improper operation and usually manage to get out of covering things.

Purchase price for the stx-15f was $9,200.00 I actually went to the dealer to purchase the 2004 Yamaha FX-HO cruiser which was $9,300.00. I wound up liking the Kawasaki better. Last spring I couldn't find 2004 yamaha's for less than MSRP of $10,000.00

I still haven't decided to purchase the extended warranty. Several people I've spoken to, tell me the kawasaki engines are bulletproof.
