purchase question

I am looking at two boats. A 2001 2300 LSR with 20 hours and a 2005 2400 with 100 hrs. Both are asking about the same for the boats. Is there any reason why I would want to have the 2001 vs the 2005. I don't think so, but I might as well ask.

For those who have the dark blue hull - is that a pain because of scratches that show the white underneath?

thanks for any input.

Re: purchase question

The 2400 is the better deal.

Dark colors fade faster, if you plan to keep it in the sun, expect rapid deterioration. Scratches are something to avoid on any color boat. They do show badly on dark colors, but gel coat touch-up is not terribly difficut (see: http://www.boatus.com/boattech/casey/02.htm) and you can get tubes of matching color on the internet.

Re: purchase question

I would say the 2400 as well. Also because the 2400 is still in the model line-up unlike the LSR. You'd definitely have easier access to information, parts, etc. for that model should you need anything. Good luck!:D
