Can anyone help? I am pulling the Volvo V8 AQ231 out of a 23' Steigercraft and have hit a snag. I am unable to pull the engine out!!! The front mounts on either side of the engine are undone, and the six bolts on the clamp ring on the outside of the boat at the transom are removed, but I can not remove the clamp ring. I have done all the manual says has to be done but I am unable to get the engine free. The engine will tilt up about three inches and I can move it side to side but not forward and out. The clamp ring is stuck, it must be corroded together. Any Ideas or experience??? I will be sealing the transom and attaching a bracket with an outboard. I did not expect to be posting for advice this early in the project! Any help would be appreciated
