Need to remove a thrust washer stuck on prop shaft, have tried almost anything but won't budge or loosen a bit. My fingers won't go inside prop's round housing to grab and pull washer out. Can someone recommend a nice puller that will fit inside housing. Will I need a 2-3 claw puller. Thanks id advance.

Prop shaft lenght is around 2 -3/4" OB is only one year old with 50 worked hours. Seems that factory didn't greased shaft at all...

a small pry bar, and a skinny block of wood on the housing, the wood will prevent damage to the edge of the housing, and wiggle the washer all the way around, it should free up. You can use a small amount of heat on the washer to expand it, but if you use to much, it will melt the seal.

Or remove the prop shaft housing, and then drive the shaft out; the bushing will pop off.

Thanks both, first recommendation didn't work out, second one is too much hassle, no need really to remove washer, a new prop already sits on a well cleaned & greased prop shaft. Any way will buy a cheap 2 or 3 claw puller to keep it handy...
