is the pulley on top of the tower just for wakeboarding or can it used for skiing, tubing, kneeboarding?

Re: pulley on top of tower

If its on top of a wakeboard tower, then wakeboards only. Everything else will creat too much drag for the tower in most cases. Check with the manufacturer of the tower and they will tell you how much it can take. Wakeboards dont take too much stress to get out of the water, and very little up on a plane. If its a ski pole, then thats different.

What type of skiing? A decent slalom skier, you don't want the pull point that high because of leverage. Wake towers work GREAT for an absolute beginner though on 2 skies. Easier to pull out of the water, and they pull with less sideforce than a good wakeboarder. Tubing? nope, not a chance!

You can use the tower tow point for everything but tubing as the tube will have too much drag and could cause some catastrophic failure if the tube were to submarine. It's better for wakeboarding/kneeboarding, but it is worse for skiers.
