PTT Question- after the AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH

Hi all

So, after checking out my relays/fuses etc, I called (reluctantly) a mobile mechanic/tech, as I am not so great with things electrical.

He spent maybe, say, 10 minutes here, and found I didn't tighten the battery terminals enough. $150.00 later for 10 minutes.....DOH DOH DOH DOH.

Fastfoward to this afternoon, and the PTT pump runs HARD, but doesnt lift the engine. I did bleed a bit of fluid when I initially had this problem to lower the engine, as I thought a ram was stuck. It sounds like I have an air pocket in the lines.

Any tips on how to get this motor moving , any help would be appreciated.

First: while it's in the down position.Fill it with the kind of oil that's in there.
Could be 20w or tranny fluid or Trim/Tilt fluid.
I use an oil can to fill mine(getting between twins is hard).
Then cycle it up.It might take a bit to get the oil moving.
These units are self (priming) ? No need to bleed lines they do that automatically.
Battery hot? Good connections?(sorry had to throw that in)

If it doesn't go up when it's full and nothing is leaking, then the pump needs a rebuild?

It was working before the battery terminals failed ( made me feel better) so I doubt a rebuild is in order. It is mid way up at the moment, so I'll lower it today ( back off a return line?) to the lowest position possible then start from scratch.

I'll post results unless anyone else has any suggestions??
