I was just changing the prop on the above mentioned motor and I noticed you can push the propshaft in toward the pinion gear a slight amount. It is definitly spring loaded as it travels back toward the prop end. This lower unit recently took a pretty hard rock stike, and trashed the prop. The shaft is not bent, oil is beautiful......anything to worry about? I took a look at the exploded view in the book, It doenst even show any thrust washers, how do these units control thrust, as there must be quite a bit from the prop<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />James
