I have a 1981 Glastron GA-15 all aluminum trailer, that I would like to paint to match my boat. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to the steps required to painting it.
Is it a major pain??

Much appreciated....... :)

Go to a paintshop and tell you want to paint aluminium! I'm sure they will give you a primer that you can best use for alu... First grind, primer and than paint it! Succes

your going to need to clean it REALLY REALLY REALLY WELL

and then your going to have to prime it with a good Etching Primer of what ever brand of paint your going to use

and then your going to have to paint it real well

all good paints have a LOT of rules to follow if you want them to last

i have to warn you even a small pin hole in the paint will giver mother nature all the foot hold it needs to start working its way under your paint

i use PPG products because there is a good supplyer near me

i build my own bicycles from scrach for a hobby and it was a LOT harder to learn to paint well then build a 18 pound bicycle ;)
