I hook mine 1 time through the middle of the body to get full swimming effect.

I probably won't be much good to you as I've never used leeches for bait. What species are you trynig to catch using leeches? I've driven by bait shops with signs that they have them and have always wondered what kind of fish they would (hopefully) attract.

I hook mine right at their sucking pad. Think I'll try the middle like SBN said to see the difference. Jeff I catch bass, walleye, northern ,crappie,lake trout,and gills. Change the water and keep them in the fridge, last for weeks.

It's been some time since we used leeches...However, using them on a "crawler harness" with a "stinger" hook was deadly for walleye...Tight Lines! RJ
