Proper Tie Down at your dock

I'm sure I know what I'm doing when I tie my boat up since I haven't every broken a line or had one come loose.<br /><br />Is there anywhere that gives the proper procedure for tieing your boat up? Just thinking that this could help newbies when they go to dock their boat. Thanks

My Chapman's piloting book has diagrams. Thats a good book for any boat owner. That book should come with every new (and used) boat.
