Hello,

Once again I need your assistance with this 1985 Mercury 35hp outboard. I don't have an owners manual yet and don't know the correct gas/oil mixture ratio. How much oil to each litre of gas should I use with this motor?

Also, should I use a higher octane level than just regular unleaded gasoline?

Thanks again,
Bill

Hello Bill,
If you can convert gallons to litres on this topic, you should have no problem.
Your Mercury 35 use's a 50:1 mixture.One (US)pint oil to 6 gallons gas.
Regular 86 octane is fine for your motor... :)
