propeller question

I have 13 boston w. 25 mariner prop. 3x10x11 to gain more speed how pitch need? how do not exceed? <br />I dont have rpm gages 6000 max rpm serial# 0g265091

If you increase your pitch from 11, to 13 you may gain some speed. Your full throttle rpm will lower by approximately 400 rpm, so you won't risk over revving your engine.<br /><br />If you increase the pitch too much, you will lose too many rpm, risk damaging the engine, reduce your ability to get the boat up on plane, and also lose speed.
