I need to replace my propeller and was interested in getting some opinions on compostie props. I live in an area where damaged props are common. I have an aluminum one now but read where a composite might be better. Also any idea between a 3 and 4 blade setup since composites seem to come in 4 blades. Also if the prop is slitghy damaged should I not use the boat until I can get it replaced.

Re: Propeller help

Copm props brake not bend but that could be a good thing. I depend on your bottom. If you hit a rocky bottom with a SS prop you will break a shaft (much more expensive to fix). If you hit a stick on a sandy bottom you will break a comp prop. Also comp props are not a good proformance prop. They flex a lot under load. It is all in what your needs are.
