Propellarshaft freeplay (alpha1 gen 2)?

Hi Boat lovers

I have just replaced all the orings and simmerrings in my drive, but now after assambling, i have a doubt..
How much is the propellarshaft allowed to move in and out of the drive? I have checked the oem manual from mercruiser, and they only mention freeplay sideways not in/out..
I have about 3mm play in/out, is that becurse i havent tightend the big "nut" that is right behind the propellar enught? The nut im thinking about is this:

What do you guys say? do you have in/out freeplay on your alpha 1 gen 2 drives?

Ayuh,..... About 1/8" is Normal.....
