I can't get the propeller off my Mercury motor. Any advice?

Like the name! If the nut is off pound it a bit with a rubber mallet. The problem you are encountering is corrosion on the shaft through the prop and the sleeve that slides over it. When you get it off use emery cloth and polish the shaft up as well as the inside of the sleeve. Coat the shaft in a light caot of marine grade grease and your good as new.<br /><br />Bob

Would a frozen prop cause the lower unit to seize (Shaft and all, in or out of gear)?
