I have a 1997 Hydra sport 22 Ocean with 175 Johnson Oceanrunner outboard
also 1997 with a stock SS prop
Anybody have any idea what pitch the prop is stock and the shaft length?

Post your engine serial numbers to get the shaft length (or measure it !!) If you still have the handbook it will tell you the factory fitted prop in there, if not then look at the centre of the prop around the mounting nut and thrust washer and it will tell you right there. First number is diameter and the second number is the pitch.
