Hi there, i re-antifouled the boat and props 2 weeks ago, took it for a run on the plane for 30 min or so, later discovered a hull issue and so last week re- slipped it and noticed the props in this condition. Any ideas as to why they are like this be very helpful.
I did get as little cavitation when getting onto plane but only a little.

cheers

ohh and sorry wrong section, not sure how to move the thread??

Re: Prop wear question please

You must be in salt? Sure looks like some sort of severe electrolysis problem.
My limited experience in fresh water is you don't normally put antifouling on the prop or associated hardware.
How long was it in the water.Any other work done at the time of the paint job??
Perhaps the wrong type of antifoulling.. Could be some sort of wierd electric problem on the boat or even in the marina or another boat.

Re: Prop wear question please

I think prop burn is the erosion of the surface of the prop in low pressure areas.
Caused by cavitation.
Nothing like you have.
