prop turning at idle??? in the 50 gal drum, is that ok?

when firing my super seahorse electramatic ('62 40 hp rk 24) the prop seems to be spinning and churning the water. is that normal?? or is that not the prop churning the water? please reply

exhaust causes the turbulance, and that turn the prop.

The exhaust can cause the prop to turn.

the exaust also comes out from under the water, and not just through the hole where the water comes out?

exhaust comes out that angle piece just above the prop.
