As I'm getting closer to getting my boat in the water for first time in 2 years im getting excited. Last time i had it in the water I spun the stainless prop and found a nice used aluminum one for cheap. (Vortex 992005 link below). My boat a 1980 25' tahiti day cruiser with a mc1 out drive and ~290hp motor. What kind of performance am I lookin at for this prop? I plan on buying another and useing this one as a spare. Just was goin to see if anyone else had experience with this prop or similar. And what should I look for as in just a cruising gas mileage prop when I go buy primary prop? Most likely it will be aluminum also. I'll be towing couple small kids on tube in future but not fast at all.
Here's the link to prop

no idea. what drive ratio, what does your boat weight, and all the other questions that you must answer in the prop forum. for best results, you should have a Mod move this to the prop forum. (just report your thread, and the mods will move it)

Gee, why not get the SS prop fixed? Most prop shops will rehub them.
