I have a 2001 Crownline 180 with the 3.0 mercruiser. I think the dry weight is around 2200, but with fuel and average load of 6 or 7 adults I'm guessing I'm pushing an additional 1500ish pounds.
I currently have a 14 1/2 x 19 prop that turns around 4500-4600 at WOT.
I would like a prop that would come out of hole better and plain quicker. Not worried about giving up top-end or economy.
What do you guys think would be prop for that application.
Thanks for your time.

I had a simlar size searay 170 with 3.0 and had good luck with 4 blade Michigan Vortex Props (they make both a 3 and 4 blade vortex). I demoed a 16" pitch and 18" ended up buying both used the 18" for general cruising/tubing and 16" for skiing and wakeboarding. Big difference in holeshot, stern lift and lower planning speed when cruising. they did give up 3-4 mph top end vs the 19" black max I had on it. Being aluminum they are reasonably priced around $150
