Hello,

Just wanted to get some opinions about a prop purchase I am making.
I have a 18ft Arrowglass - Deep V fiberglass runabout. 135 Mariner Marathon Outboard engine.
Stock prop was an aluminum 19 pitch, turns about 5200 and 42 MPH.
Bad cavitation problems in sharp turns, pain for those tight turns in coves pulling a skier.
I have a duofin installed.

I am looking at a 4 blabe SS prop from Overtons made by Stilleto. I have already tried a 17 pitch 4 blade (13.25) and turned way over 5500 RPM and had really bad slip on take off. Wanted to go over 6k RPM, never got to WOT. Not sure what it is rated for, just figure I need to stay around 5000 - 5500?

Have just ordered a 20 pitch by Stilleto
Stiletto™ Performance Propeller 4-Blade 13.75 dia x 20 pitch (ST10420)

Opinions ???????

Thanks Dude

Re: Prop Suggestions

That 135 will really wakeup above 5500!!!I turn mine 8500,but I don't think you need that. :D Find a good prop shop in your area and try a couple of different props. If they are a good shop, this should be no problem. Seriously though,a stock 135 can turn 6000 all day and still live. 5500-5800 would probably be what you need. You can probably run something in the 23-25 pitch range.
