Prop spins easily, but not freely

Hey people, I am new to boating and I have picked up a Citation with a Volvo Penta. I was reading that the prop should spin freely when in neutral. It spins easily, but not freely. Is that a problem or am I taking "freely" to an extreme?
Thanks for any input.

The are a few different Volvo drives. You don't say what one you have, but if it's a "SX" style. They do have some bearing preload when new and don't spin freely until they have a lot of hours on them. The service manual covers how to measure it and how much it should have.

some are dog clutch gears that will spin freely, some are cone clutch upper gears that turn with the prop and may have a little bind
