prop sizing ?

i have a ski boat with a ss 21 pitch as well as a ss 19 pitch the 21 has more of a cup blade and the 19 has a clever type blade which one will give me the best torque and low end pull?? we have about 1500lbs in ballast on board

Hi.<br /><br />If you had used the search on these forums you'd have noticed, that<br /><br />boat size, design and weight<br />motor rpm<br />motor mount height<br />rpm at WOT<br />use of boat<br /><br />are needed to give proper advice on props.<br /><br />Apart from that, the 19" gives better hole shot as it is 'lower geared'. Cleaver designs are for hi-speed setups running near the surface(air/water mix) and as such normally not recommended for pulling skiers etc.<br /><br />Come back with more details.

a mastercraft barefoot 200, its 20 feet, has a prov 200 yamaha o/b, weighs about 3500lbs<br />to 5000 w the water ballast full., motor is at the standard height ?? no jack plate, rund 5400wot, used for wakeboard and ski applications. thanks for the help

By all theory the 19 should have better low end and hole shot. The blade design affects the theory, so I'd suggest you test the props and note the diffrences shown on your setup.<br /><br />The WOT 5400 sounds as if it's within the range - with what prop did you get this?
