I have a 1971 Johnson 50 hp 50else71s need a new prop..and whats a decent price for a used one?

You can get a new aluminum prop for about $120.00

Composite props are cheaper again at about $80+. These are good if you hit rock bottom as they will smash and do as little damage as possible to your gearbox. Supposed to be better than aluminum props flex wise. Not sure though.<br /><br />Donie

Go to a local Marina and ask if they recondition props. You can get one many times for half of what you would pay for a new one.<br /><br />Bill

thanks for the info my prop was to far gone for repair.but thanks to rick and ebay i have one that will be here by friday for $28.60 what a deal i think
