I recently got a 95 Rinker Captiva 209 with the 5.7L 4bbl. Currently it's running a 14.25 x 17 mercruiser SS 3 blade prop. With that and 550 lbs of adults and kids at WOT I'm turning 5100 RPM's at 48 mph (GPS). What I know is that the book calls for a max rpm at WOT of 4700 RPM's. Does anybody have any experience with this setup and what I should do to get the RPM's down where they should be?
Thank you
DanN

Re: Prop Size

The same make and model prop in the 19" pitch should put you dead on. And give you a tad more top end.
Keep us posted.
