Okay.......This might sound like a stupid question but I thought I would go ahead and ask. Here's the deal.

Last year I bought a new Solas Titan prop for my 4.3 Mercruiser. When I had it installed it was nice and shiney. Almost looked like it was chrome. Well as things would have it I damaged the ends while loading it on the trailer. So, since boating season is over I decided to have it rebuilt. Just got it back and it looks brand new again. Nice and shiney.

Is there anything I can do to keep the shine? Didn't know if waxing or some oter metod would keep it looking shiney.

I promise I will not damage it again this coming season!

Re: Prop Shine

You can polish the stainless steel prop with Maas Metal Polish and a cotton buffing wheel or by hand...wheel makes it like a mirror. I think Walgreen Drugs carries the Maas Polish, about $6/yube. Good Luck!

Re: Prop Shine

Can also use never-dull too which is another polish.
But when your done polishing, put on some good wax to slow down the dulls return.
Which might only last until you go boating thru a sand bar the next time out.

I've tried Brass-O, Tarnex, several others...the Maas Metal Polish is the best by far if you want a mirror finish.
