Prop shafts?

Are the prop shafts on a 1983 Merc 150 and a 1996 Merc 150 the same? Another words, are the props interchangeable?

Why not look them up in a Propeller application table to see if they interchange. It appears to me that they do. The '83 is a V-6?

"Most" all V6 and V8 outboards will be 15 spline of the same size. we swap props from all manufacturers all the time...a different thrust washer or aft washer may be required but they will work.
