Prop shaft question

I use anti seize on the impellers I run on my jetskis I ride in the ocean. Haven't had any issues. I have also used oil.

Thank you just wanted to check, never know if there is some crazy reason not to.
I also make sure to clean the threads with starting fluid and a rag. Or wirewheel if you can get to it. Get all the old corrosion off etc.

I wouldnt.. The great Don S called it always sieze

In fresh water, you may get away with it. In salt water, it promotes corrosion

Well at this point I will report if there is an issue in the fall, it's on. I have to get the boat in the water my son is coming up tomorrow and he wants to fire up the boat for a few runs down the lake. Unfortunately I will not be here for that 6:15 sunday morning flight.

It will be fine. I have been using it in salt water for years and never had an issue getting the impellers off later.

Gee, marine grease works real well, if you clean and reapply each season. Of course, if you are not going to clean and regrease, nothing will work. The same goes for the steering rod.
