Prop Repair

I have an 81 40hp merc with a prop that is in desperate need of repair, does anyone know of a good place to send the prop to?? Or how much this should cost??? Is it cheaper to get the old prop repaired or should I just get a new one??? The prop that is on it is a stock aluminum prop<br /> Thanks for the help<br /> Brian

I bring my damaged props to the local marina and they send it out for repair. Cost me 35.00 to repair a OMC 40hp aluminum prop.

And, if a local prop shop (check your yellow pages) can't repair your prop, they usually sell "used" props too. One for your motor should run around $60 to $70 used (compared to around $150 new).
