Prop Removal

I need to take off my props,290 duo prop the only thing is boat is in water.Can anyone foresee any problems i might have,and does anyone know what size sockets i may need.The props were last taken off last november when drive was serviced,to take boat out of water will cost 400uk pounds

That was a very steep price for lifting the boat! <br /><br />I think you are very likely to drop something in the water, especially if the shafts weren't properly greased the last time and you have to use a bit of force to pry things loose. Hence, do it somewhere dry or only knee-deep.<br /><br />I don't know the exact size sockets and tools to use nor have I been able to find this online - perhaps someone more knowledgable will chime in.<br /><br />A ten-thumb friend of mine changed his similar props last year, in shallow water, and claimed it had been an easy job.<br /><br />Good luck.
