I spun the prop yesterday at the lake. Just tooling along at 35 when the RPMs shot up and we slowed way down. I limped back into the Marina and dock at just above idle.

Here is what I have done so far to get the prop off.

The prop is off but not the shaft. How does this shaft come off?

Looks like the hub is frozen to the shaft. Might try soaking splines with PBblaster, I don't know if you have enough of a lip on the hub for a gear puller to grip. You might have to put a pair of curved jaw vise grips on the hub for a gear puller to have something to grab onto, but don't tighten them enough to distort the hub. Good luck with that.

What the boat shop said to do...or

use a grinder, cut the side down about 3"s, then do it again 1/3 of the way around, then use a long punch to pry the metal apart....

Will be doing this later today
