Have an '03 Tracker Pro Deep V-16. Just installed a '05 Merc OptiMax 75hp with an aluminum BlackMax 13x19 prop. WOT is about 32mph at 4800rpm. The boat is loaded heavy with 4 batteries and fat fishin buddies. Looking for suggestions on an overall performance stainless prop to put me in the proper rpm range of about 5500-5700rpms.

Re: Prop recommendation

You may want to try to borrow a ss prop, they dont flex as much.if you can borrow one get a 19 and see if that helps.do have a jackplate and weres your motor mounted now?

Re: Prop recommendation

No jackplate and mounted one hole up. Unable to trim very far up before blow out. I'm thinking something in the 15p range. Looking for a SS prop that provides more bow lift and put me in the 5700rpm range. I think a SS prop in the same 19p would lower my rpm's somewhat?

Re: Prop recommendation

Something like a Stiletto 17 would probably be close but with that much load we may have to look at a 15 to get the r's back up.

Once you get something like a Stiletto you will probably be able to raise the motor a tad to dial it in.

Ron, you were headed in the right direction. With a jackplate we may have been able to get a 19 ss to work but thats a pretty good load he's carrying.

Thanks guys, I'll see if I can find a Stilletto in 17 and 15 to try.
