After replacing powerhead on a 1991 Johnson 60hp and installing it on my 17' Lowe roughneck jon boat, it has a 13 1/4 17 propellor on it. The boat will turn 5900 wide open, whats the verdic is this ok or do I need a 19 prop if I am correct that will drop the wide open rpm to 5500 it seems to run great at 5500 now what are your thoughts?
