I really am a noob @ this i guess, my delima is i have found a Rapture prop on sale and it seems to fit the bill. However the part number does not match Mitch wheel catalog for my spefic drive. The prop has a 14-3/8 hub size and a 21 pitch however im not sure if it will fit my mercruiser (spline issue?) I am not going to assume that all 14 Inch hubs will have the correct spline or are they that uniform. It would shock me to see that kind of uniformity.......... :D ............ Umm thats a 3.0 mercruiser with a alpha one drive. It seems to indicate a 150hp suzuki design.. the prop number that is.

Re: Prop question

In the prop finder for sterndrives, punch in your year make and HP, then select the alpha 1 within your years. It will then list the props that will fit your unit.

Re: Prop question

No is the answer to your question, the prop is not even listed in stern drive applications. It is a clearance prop, however even a simple mind (such as mine) would assume that mfg's have standardized a few things. Such as simply finding the right bushing to mesh the outer casing to the spline............. or have they made a mess of it............

 ........................ :D

Re: Prop question

Sorry if i was being sarcastic there,it has been a bit frustrating trying to get this done. I've had two props shipped and both would not fit my drive and i'am not going to point fingers ( service has been excellent in resolving issues)......Anyway's its a 1993 mercruiser 3.0 alpha one 2.1 gears

I was just trying to get a clearence price in a very decent prop .....and it appears one cannot put a outboard prop on a inboard. I found a great deal on a Ballastic part no.345534 which belongs on a suzki outboard me bad  and wont work with a mercrusier stern drive. I was hoping to be able to just find the right hub.........

Re: Prop question

Thanks walleyehed, however i have used the finder which started this whole thing. Found a ballastic prop there for 140.00. However when shipped it was the wrong prop...........right box though :D I was just attempting to find another prop, found one but made for a suzi. I was just looking for a long shot hoping i could find a hub that would make the prop compataible with my stern drive......just a cheap dude i guess. :D
