Does anyone know of a formula that would help to figure out the best depth of a prop from the bottom of the transom.
Is there a perfect measurement from boat bottom to center of prop hub?
One more question, what is the best way to de-carb a motor?
Thanks in advance for any help
Joe

Re: prop question

The height (X dimension) for any given boat depends on prop type & style, hull design, set back (if any), balance etc.

A general starting place is the AV plate even with the true bottom of the hull.

Tell us more about your rig and what you have now. Also if youve tried any other props or X dimensions. Jack plate?
